I was walking along the seawall around Stanley Park and noticed a huge, gnarled stump sitting in the water. There were a few small rocks jutting out of the water, so I climbed down the low wall and balanced across the rocks to take a few photos. It was a wonderful thing, but it was hardly ideal photo conditions. The light was nice and soft, but too dim by half, and I was balancing precariously on some rocks and didn’t have a tripod.

Sadly, many shots were ruined by camera shake, but a few made it out. This is one of them.
